Fiuto vs Maze

Fiuto vs Maze: a fair, sourced comparison

Fiuto is user research you can build from your coding agent: ask Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Lovable, v0, Replit, or Bolt to draft and launch a study over MCP, without leaving the editor your prototype lives in. Test it with people you invited yourself, no recruited panel and no per-seat pricing, and let AI run the whole loop on every plan including Free.

Maze is a well-reviewed prototype and usability testing platform built around Figma-native workflows and a large recruited panel, real advantages if that workflow is already yours.

Fiuto is the better fit when you already have people to invite, want a published price, and build with a coding agent. Maze is the better fit when you need a recruited panel and a Figma-native workflow.

How Fiuto and Maze compare

Every claim about Maze on this page is sourced and dated. All of them were checked on 27 July 2026 against Maze's own site or a public review platform, and where Maze publishes nothing, this page says so instead of guessing at a number.

Both tools cover prototype and usability testing. The differences show up in who sets the price, whose respondents you use, and how far AI reaches into the study itself.

Why choose Fiuto over Maze

Maze is mature and well reviewed, and its Figma-native workflow and recruited panel are real advantages if that is what you need. Fiuto's case rests on what it does differently:

  • You build it from your coding agent. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Lovable, v0, Replit, and Bolt can all draft and launch a Fiuto study over MCP, all seven verified against the live server on 27 July 2026. Point any of them at mcp.fiuto.ai and see for yourself. Maze has no published coding-agent or MCP integration.
  • AI runs the whole loop, on every plan. Drafting the study, analysing responses, and building the insights deck all work on Free, running the same Anthropic Claude models Fiuto uses on Pro. Which model handles a task depends on the task, never on your tier. Maze's AI moderator is Enterprise-only.
  • Every response comes from someone you invited. No recruited panel to pay for, no per-seat pricing, no per-respondent fee. Response volume follows your plan: 10 on Free, 100 on Core, unlimited on Pro. Results are readable in-app on every tier; raw export and the API open up from Core.
  • The price is public and flat. £19 and £49 a month, per account, not per seat. Maze publishes nothing, and buyer-reported data (Vendr, G2) puts its Starter plan around $99 a seat a month, its Organization plan above $200 a seat, and its Enterprise deals averaging $26,900 a year.
  • Sharing has no headcount limit. Publish a study, its results, its insights, or its deck behind a view-only link for as many people as you want. Only inviting someone in to edit needs a paid plan.
  • Your first study is free, end to end. A whole study start to finish on the free plan, and real responses turned into findings at no cost in credits, once per account, on every tier.
  • You can be live the same day. Say what you want to learn, review the drafted plan, and launch, instead of booking a call to find out what it costs.
  • Your study data stays in the EU. Study data, recordings, and analytics run on EU-hosted infrastructure.
  • Method depth without suite pricing. 18 method blocks, every one on every plan including Free, ranking, card sorting, tree testing, matrix surveys, five-second tests, first-click tests, preference tests, and prototype or live-site tests among them.

Pricing, in more detail

On the Fiuto side, the free plan needs no card: every test method, 1 live study a month, 10 responses per study, and 300 AI credits a month. Stepping up to Core costs £19 a month (held from £39 at current launch pricing) for 3 live studies, 100 responses per study, and 3,000 AI credits a month. Pro is £49 a month (held from £99), with 10 live studies a month, unlimited responses per study, and 12,000 AI credits a month. Templates give you a zero-credit way to start drafting.

Maze's own pricing page shows feature comparisons across plan tiers but no dollar figures; the only call to action there is "Contact sales." Buyer-reported pricing tells a clearer story: Vendr and G2 put Maze's Starter plan around $99 a seat a month billed annually, its Organization plan above $200 a seat, and Vendr's own transaction data (32 deals) puts average Enterprise spend at $26,900 a year. Fiuto's £19 and £49 plans are flat per account, not per seat, checked 27 July 2026.

Respondents and methods

Fiuto has one respondent path, by design: bring your own. No recruited panel to pay for, no per-seat pricing, no per-respondent fee. Invite as many of your own users as you want; how many responses each study collects still follows your plan. Maze supports two respondent paths: you can share a study link with your own testers at no cost against your panel credits, or pay to recruit from Maze's own panel of over 5 million people.

On methods, Maze leans toward prototype and live-product testing plus moderated interviews, with card sorting and surveys alongside. Fiuto's 18 method blocks centre on the forced-choice and ordering questions that turn a fuzzy opinion into a decision: ranking, card sorting, tree testing, matrix surveys, five-second impressions, first click, and preference testing, plus prototype and live-site tasks.

Moving a study from Maze to Fiuto

There is no account to migrate and nothing to export. Run one study in both places and compare what comes back.

01

Pick one study you already run in Maze

The last prototype test, card sort, or survey will do. Write down in a paragraph what you needed to learn from it.

02

Let Fiuto draft it

Paste that paragraph in, or ask your coding agent to do it over MCP. What comes back is a full study plan to edit, not an empty form.

03

Invite your own respondents

Share the link with the customers, users, or community you already have. There is no panel to buy first and no per-respondent fee.

04

Read the findings, then decide

Fiuto turns the responses into findings and a shareable deck. Compare that with what the same study gave you last time before you move anything else.

Who tends to fit which tool

Fiuto fits teams with their own audience

You already have users, customers, or a community to test with and want a published price before you start.

Fiuto fits coding-agent workflows

You want to draft and launch a study from the same coding agent that's building the prototype.

Maze fits Figma-native design teams

Your workflow already lives in Figma and you want a testing tool built around that handoff.

Maze fits teams that need a recruited panel

You have no existing audience to test with and want a tool that sells access to one directly.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

01Is Maze more expensive than Fiuto?

Maze doesn't publish plan prices. Its pricing page routes every plan to a sales conversation. Fiuto publishes every price: free, then £19 a month for Core and £49 a month for Pro at current launch pricing, flat per account. Maze doesn't say what it actually costs, but buyer-reported pricing collected by Vendr and G2 puts its Starter plan around $99 a seat a month billed annually, its Organization plan above $200 a seat, and Vendr's own transaction data (32 deals) at an average of $26,900 a year for Enterprise, checked 27 July 2026.

02Can I build a Fiuto study from a coding agent instead of a web form?

Yes. Ask Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Lovable, v0, Replit, or Bolt to draft and launch the study over Fiuto's MCP server, without leaving your editor, or use the plain web app either way. All seven were verified against the live server on 27 July 2026, and you can check any of them yourself by pointing it at mcp.fiuto.ai. Maze has no published coding-agent or MCP integration, checked 27 July 2026.

03Does Maze let you bring your own respondents?

Yes. Maze's bring-your-own-audience option lets you share a study link with your own testers at no extra cost, alongside its paid recruited panel of over 5 million people. Fiuto only supports bringing your own respondents: no recruited panel, no per-seat pricing, no per-respondent fee. Invite as many of your own users as you like; how many responses each study collects still follows your plan (10 on Free, 100 on Core, unlimited on Pro).

04Does Maze use AI to help build a study, or only to read the results?

Both. Maze's AI moderator drafts a discussion guide from what you want to learn, and its AI features summarise interview transcripts into themes afterwards. Fiuto's AI drafts the whole study from a plain brief, then helps turn the responses into a shareable deck. Maze's AI moderator is limited to its Enterprise plan, per Maze's own help documentation, checked 27 July 2026.

05Is Fiuto's AI only available on paid plans?

No. Every Fiuto tier, including Free, gets the full AI surface: drafting the study, analysing responses into findings, and building the insights deck. Free runs the same Anthropic Claude models Fiuto uses on Pro; which model handles a task depends on the task itself, not on your subscription tier. Report depth then scales by tier, with Core and Pro returning more findings per study, and the cross-study overview opening up from Core. The first single-study analysis costs nothing in credits, once per account. Maze reserves its AI moderator for Enterprise.

06Which testing methods does Maze support?

Prototype testing, usability studies, card sorting, live website and mobile app testing, surveys, and moderated interviews.

07Is Fiuto's study data stored in the EU?

Yes. Study data, recordings, and analytics run on EU-hosted infrastructure.

08Can I share Fiuto results with people outside my team?

Yes, with no headcount limit. Publish a study, its results, its insights, or its deck behind a view-only link for as many people as you want. Inviting someone in to edit the study itself is the one thing that needs a paid plan.
