How Fiuto and UserTesting compare
Every claim about UserTesting on this page is sourced and dated. All of them were checked on 4 August 2026 against UserTesting's current public site or Help Center, and where UserTesting publishes nothing, this page says so instead of guessing at a number.
Both tools help teams hear from people before they build the wrong thing. The meaningful difference is where the people come from, how the purchase works, and whether the research loop needs to leave the place where the product is being built.

Why choose Fiuto over UserTesting
UserTesting is designed for the organisation that needs a large participant network and an enterprise-scale insight platform. Fiuto is not trying to be that. It is for the team that already knows whose opinion matters and wants to learn without making recruitment the centre of the workflow:
- You build it from your coding agent. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Lovable, v0, Replit, and Bolt can all create, organise, and launch a Fiuto study over MCP, all seven verified against the live server on 27 July 2026. Point any of them at mcp.fiuto.ai and see for yourself. The brief does not have to leave the prototype behind.
- AI runs the whole loop, on every plan. Drafting the study, analysing responses, and building the insights deck all work on Free, running the same Anthropic Claude models Fiuto uses on Pro. Access is metered in credits, never held behind a paid-tier floor.
- Your respondents stay yours. Fiuto never recruits a panel, and charges no per-seat or per-respondent fee. Invite the customers, users, or community that make the decision meaningful. Response volume follows your plan: 10 on Free, 100 on Core, unlimited on Pro.
- The price is public and flat. Free, then £19 and £49 a month at current launch pricing, per account rather than per seat. UserTesting's plans page asks you to request pricing for each of its three editions.
- Your first study's analysis is free. A whole study end to end on the free plan, and real responses turned into findings at no cost in credits, once per account, on every tier.
- You can be live the same day. Say what you want to learn, review the drafted plan, and launch, instead of scoping an enterprise purchase first.
- Your study data stays in the EU. Study data, recordings, and analytics run on EU-hosted infrastructure.
- Advanced methods are not a Free-plan tease. 18 method blocks, every one on every plan including Free, ranking, card sorting, tree testing, matrix surveys, five-second tests, first-click tests, preference tests, and prototype or live-site tests among them.
- The comparison is a fit check, not a replacement pitch. Choose UserTesting when its participant network or enterprise platform is what the job needs. Choose Fiuto when you want a focused loop around people you can already invite.
Pricing, in more detail
Fiuto's free plan needs no card: every test method, 1 live study a month, 10 responses per study, and 300 AI credits a month. Core is £19 a month, held from £39 at current launch pricing, with 3 live studies a month, 100 responses per study, and 3,000 AI credits a month. Pro is £49 a month, held from £99, with 10 live studies a month, unlimited responses per study, and 12,000 AI credits a month. Every figure is on the pricing page before you talk to anyone.
UserTesting's public plans page is written for enterprise buying. It lists Advanced, Ultimate, and Ultimate+ with a request-pricing call to action, and says the price varies with the number of users, types, and features. It describes two purchase shapes: test-based consumption across a team, and team-based unlimited plans for a defined enterprise scope. Those can be a better fit when a larger organisation needs a programme rather than a lightweight start.
The practical contrast is not that one model is always cheaper. It is whether you need to procure recruitment and enterprise scope before the first answer is useful. If the people you need to hear from are already within reach, Fiuto keeps the first decision small.

Respondents and methods
UserTesting gives teams more than one route to participants. Its Help Center describes a UserTesting Contributor Network, a Custom Network that a customer creates in the platform, and an Invite Network for one-time links to a specific group. Its plans page describes a global participant panel across 60+ countries. That is real reach when you do not have an audience of your own.
Fiuto deliberately has one route: bring your own respondents. Share the study with customers, users, a waitlist, or a community; Fiuto does not recruit for you. It is a focused choice for teams where the hard part is turning an already-available audience into a decision, not finding strangers to fill a panel.
On methods, UserTesting's public plans describe unmoderated surveys, interaction tests, and think-out-loud studies, plus Live Conversation; its Ultimate edition adds card sorting and tree testing. Fiuto's 18 method blocks centre on decision making: ranking, card sorting, tree testing, matrix surveys, five-second impressions, first click, and preference testing, alongside prototype and live-site tasks. All of them are available on every plan, including Free.

Moving a study from UserTesting to Fiuto
There is no account to migrate and nothing to export. Run one study alongside what you already do and compare what comes back.
Pick one study you already run in UserTesting
The last unmoderated test or survey will do. Write down in a paragraph what you needed to learn from it.
Let Fiuto draft it
Paste that paragraph in, or ask your coding agent to do it over MCP. What comes back is a full study plan to edit, not an empty form.
Invite your own respondents
Share the link with the customers, users, or community you already have. There is no participant network to buy first.
Read the findings, then decide
Fiuto turns the responses into findings and a shareable deck. Compare that with what the same study gave you last time before you move anything else.
Who tends to fit which tool
Fiuto fits teams with their own audience
You have customers, users, a community, or a waitlist to invite, and the value is in hearing from them now.
Fiuto fits coding-agent workflows
You are already building a prototype with an agent and want the study to begin in that same moment, not in another procurement flow.
UserTesting fits teams that need recruitment
You do not have an audience to invite and want access to UserTesting's global participant network.
UserTesting fits enterprise research programmes
You need a larger platform, broader organisational scale, and the enterprise purchase model UserTesting describes.
Frequently asked questions
01Is UserTesting free to use?
UserTesting's public plans page lists Advanced, Ultimate, and Ultimate+ and asks buyers to request pricing for each. Fiuto publishes every price: free, then £19 a month for Core and £49 a month for Pro at current launch pricing, flat per account rather than per seat.
02Does UserTesting recruit participants?
Yes. UserTesting offers its Contributor Network, alongside ways to invite people you already know. Fiuto takes the other route: you bring your own respondents every time. There is no Fiuto recruited panel to buy from, which makes it a fit when your customers, community, or waitlist are the people whose answer you need.
03Can I create a Fiuto study from a coding agent?
Yes. Ask Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Lovable, v0, Replit, or Bolt to create, edit, organise, and launch a study over Fiuto's MCP server, or use the plain web app either way. All seven were verified against the live server on 27 July 2026, and you can check any of them yourself by pointing it at mcp.fiuto.ai. The useful bit is not the protocol name: the research brief can start where the prototype is being built.
04Are advanced testing methods and AI available on Fiuto Free?
Yes to both. Card sorting, tree testing, and matrix surveys are available on every Fiuto plan, including Free, and so is the full AI surface: drafting the study, analysing a single study into findings, and building the insights deck. Free runs the same Anthropic Claude models Fiuto uses on Pro, and the first single-study analysis costs nothing in credits, once per account. A cross-study overview is the one thing Free does not include.
05Which tool is better, Fiuto or UserTesting?
Neither is the universal answer. UserTesting is built for organisations that want an enterprise research platform and access to its global participant network. Fiuto is for teams that already know who they want to hear from and want AI-assisted research, including an agent route, without making recruitment part of the purchase.
